Harry Redknapp enforces sex rule after taking over Britain’s worst football team

Harry Redknapp has stamped down a new rule after taking charge of Britain’s worst football team.

The legendary manager, 76, returned to the dugout after six years away from the game to lend a hand to Welsh club Cwm Albion. The struggling side lost all 22 of their matches in the Swansea Senior League last season with an astonishing goal difference of -191.

But Redknapp is determined to bring an end to the woeful run that earned them the unwanted title of Specsavers’ Best Worst Team. And the former Tottenham boss has already implemented several rules which he hopes will turn their fortunes around.

He offered some insight while talking to GB News into his no-nonsense management style. One of the rules the Premier League icon has put in place is a sex ban – though he’s not sure if the players will actually follow it.

Redknapp revealed: “After the game last week, I said ‘Alright lads, we’ve done well today but from now on I’m laying down some new rules: No more drinking, no more sex and to be in bed every night by nine o’clock.’

“If they stick to this, we can start picking up a bit. But the chances of them sticking to the new rules are very slim.”

Though it appears to have worked wonders already, with the Welsh outfit beating Tennant Colts 4-3 to mark their first victory in three years. They have since suffered a 3-1 defeat to Birchgrove Colts Thirds, which Redknapp insists is still an improvement.

“They tried very hard last week,” the FA Cup winner said. “It was a good performance and we only lost 3-1 which was a fantastic result.”

There may be even more surprises in store for Cwm Albion down the line, with Redknapp potentially using his huge network to bring in some talented former players. "I’m hoping I can find Niko Kranjcar, we’ll dig him out, bring him down. Get a couple of ringers in there,” he said.
