Scott McTominay will captain Manchester United against Liverpool on Sunday.

The midfielder will lead old the Red Devils in the absence of Bruno Fernandes, who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards.

Erik ten Hag’s team selection left him with few options for who would skipper the team, with former captain Harry Maguire missing through an injury picked up in the Champions League.

‘He is one of the examples of what it means to play for Man Utd, to play with the badge on his heart,’ Ten Hag said of his decision to give the Scott the armband.
