LA Knight could be set for an extended spell in the limelight as his meteoric rise to the top continues, with reports suggesting he is closing in on a new multi-year deal with WWE.
LA Knight has shot to prominence in recent months as one of the company’s biggest stars, regularly hitting big numbers with merchandise sales and is a hit with the fans judging by their reactions.
But it’s inside the ring, too, that LA Knight has impressed, securing a huge win over The Miz at Payback to back up his credentials as one of the sport’s most popular names right now.
Now the 40-year-old is set to extend his career with the company, according to reports, which suggest that LA Knight could be looking at a new five-year deal.
Moreover, the deal will reportedly see him pushed as one of the – if not the – leading faces on SmackDown.

WWE chiefs have reportedly been working on a deal for one of their most popular superstars
He has had a long journey to the top of the promotion but has thrived since reverting back to his LA Knight persona in October
According to PWInsider, the contract itself is very close to being finalised, so important do WWE officials view LA Knight to their immediate future.
Chiefs were keen for the timing to be right on the deal, before giving LA Knight the push to be billed as one of their leading faces.
This latest development would round off what has been an impressive comeback for the superstar, who openly admitted that back in 2022 he thought he was close to being let go.
With LA Knight failing to secure any real traction, a change of character was ordered, and he began appearing as Max Dupri – the founder of Maximum Male Models.
‘Well let me just go ahead and say this, I’m pretty sure I was fired and it just hadn’t officially happened yet,’ he told Chris Van Vliet.
‘But without getting into too many details, some things happened, I don’t remember what it was, but some things happened and I had gotten a FaceTime, “Hey, we wanna keep you around, we wanna do this, that, whatever”, somehow I had been saved from being thrown off the cliff, at least this is my interpretation of it.’
A return to LA Knight followed in Autumn 2022, and since then has not looked back, having been handed greater freedom.
