Everton fans will be prevented from hoisting up their A4 protest cards during the Sean Dyche derby this weekend.

The Toffees travel to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon to take on Burnley in a clash that will see Dyche return to the club he spent nearly a decade with. Following two seasons of relegation battles, Everton looked resigned to a third when they were given the harshest penalty in Premier League history in the form of a 10-point deduction for breaching profitability and sustainability rules.

But the Toffees have come out fighting, both on and off the pitch, with Everton arguably the most in-form side in the Premier League right now. While they still sit 17th, one place above the relegation zone, Dyche and co have won six of their last eight games, including four on the bounce in the Premier League.

With the newly promoted trio of Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United currently occupying the relegation zone with a combined six wins this season, one less than Everton, it seems unlikely the Toffees will be going down.

In fact, had they not been given their points deduction, they would be sitting 10th. However, despite their strong form, that has not stopped Everton supporters from protesting against their penalty both home and away, with thousands of fans hoisting A4 posters with the Premier League logo and the word corrupt underneath it, into the air during their recent games. But, come Saturday evening, they will not be able to do so at Turf Moor.
