Barcelona are ‘considering a January loan move for Man United winger Jadon Sancho’ after his recent falling out with Erik ten Hag.

The United manager has axed his £73million wonderkid indefinitely and has stated he does not know if the 23-year-old will play for him again.

Sancho escalated their falling out by publicly claiming he was being made a ‘scapegoat’.

He has been axed from first-team training and asked to train alone until the issue is resolved.

It now seems there could be a way out for Sancho in January, with Spanish outlet Sport reporting that Barca are ‘keeping a close eye on his situation’ and considering a loan move.

United will be wary of Xavi’s side’s financial situation that nearly derailed the loan signings of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix over the summer and could be left paying a substantial portion of Sancho’s wages if he did join Barca.

The Catalan giants are lacking depth on the left wing after loaning Ansu Fati to Brighton and could offer the 23-year-old regular play time, which he has rarely secured at Old Trafford.

Sancho has scored just nine league goals since signing for the Red Devils in 2021 and has failed to live up to the promise he showed at Borussia Dortmund.

He scored 49 goals in his final three seasons in Germany and became an England regular.

Edin Terzic’s side are also believed to be interested in bringing Sancho back to the club on loan this January.

While ten Hag’s falling out with Sancho has dominated United headlines off the pitch, things were not much better on it on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by Brighton.

It left the Red Devils 13th in the league with six points from their opening five games.
