as fans joke he achieved the feat &#8216;on the wrong day&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Europe and the USA are preparing to face off in the Ryder Cup this weekend<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Viktor Hovland scored a hole-in-one on a par four on the final day of\u00a0<\/strong><b>practice<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mail Sport&#8217;s new WhatsApp Channel: Get the breaking news and exclusives here\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Viktor Hovland scored a remarkable hole-in-one during the final day of practice ahead of the Ryder Cup\u00a02023.<\/p>\n<p>The Norwegian, ranked world no 4 in the world, is part of Team Europe for this weekend&#8217;s competition at Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.<\/p>\n<p>Before action gets underway on Friday, Hovland and his team-mates were going through a practice round on the course.<\/p>\n<p>And on the fifth hole, which is 376 yards and a par 4,the Norwegian hit a thunderous tee shot which went all the way in.<\/p>\n<p>While it was just a practice, this would have scored the 25-year-old an Albatross, which is the equivalent of three-under.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/28\/13\/75934893-0-image-a-68_1695902602411.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Viktor Hovland scored a hole-in-one during the final day of practice ahead of the Ryder Cup<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/28\/13\/75934867-0-image-a-69_1695902624852.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>On the 376 yard par four fifth hole, the Norwegian&#8217;s thunderous tee shot went all the way in<\/p>\n<p>After taking his tee shot, Hovland kept his focus on the ball, before he threw his club away when he realised it had gone in.<\/p>\n<p>The Norwegian was then mobbed by his team-mates as the crowd watching on burst out into wild celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Upon approaching the green, Hovland then picked up the ball out of the hole and threw it into the crowd as he received a standing ovation.<\/p>\n<p>While 376 yards it is a relatively short par 4, it was still a sensational shot from Hovland, although the effort during practice led to fans joking he had achieved the feat on the &#8216;wrong day&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He will be hoping to improve upon his Ryder Cup record this year in what is his second appearance in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2021, during Europe&#8217;s heavy 19-9 defeat, Hovland picked up just one point, halving two and losing three of his five games.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/28\/13\/75934885-0-image-a-70_1695902664996.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Hovland received a standing ovation from supporters and then threw his ball into the crowd\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/golf\/article-12570927\/Europes-Viktor-Hovland-Ryder-Cup-2023.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Europe&#8217;s Viktor Hovland lands a stunning HOLE-IN-ONE on 376-yard par four on the final day of practice ahead of the Ryder Cup 2023&#8230;
