OnlyFans star Renee Gracie quit racing after fans "wished she was dead"

Seldom do racing drivers experience a journey like Renee Gracie.

The Aussie was working in McDonald's to fund her career as a V8 Supercars prodigy before leaving in 2019, showering at the gym to cut costs with no more than £28 in her bank account.

Now she makes six-figures-a-month on OnlyFans with earnings well into the millions, funding a lavish property empire she plans to expand. But in between all of that has been a rough ride of harassment so bad she needed security, and even though she fancied a return to the V8 circuit the reality is she won't be welcome.

"From very early on I've had fans walk up to me and say they wish I was dead", she tells Daily Star Sport.

"That I should go hang myself because I'm so bad, and I should just go jump off a cliff because I'm not good at anything else and I'm not even good at racing. I've had beer cans thrown at me, people make all sorts of comments as they walk by me.

"You name it, sexual harassment that could possibly be thrown at a woman in a male-dominated industry, I've heard it before."

That was before she even started making OnlyFans content. Since then, she's faced a backlash from V8 to her career-switch and knows her reception would be so venomous she's ruling it out for good.

She adds: "At this stage, V8 Supercars have made it apparent it would be difficult for me to return. People from V8 Supercars, on the lower levels like marshals, have all made comments in regards to me getting back in.

"And if these comments are already being made I can only imagine how much more difficult it's going to be. I was already represented by someone from last year, who tried to get me back into Supercars, and once they found out he was representing me they basically turned him away and said no thanks.

"So it's just been made apparent that it's not going to be as easy as it would be for someone else, so just going off that vibe and feel alone just meant to me that it just isn't the right fit for me anymore and I see it as the door being closed, and I'm happy to close it and move on."

But sadly, the truth it's all she's ever known. As a teenager she was targeted by male competitors and even their dads, recalling one occasion where she "punched a kid" who deliberately took her out.

That led to a suspension, and was just the tip of the iceberg after pursuing a sport almost entirely dominated by men. She adds: "I was actually suspended because I punched a kid in go-karting because him and his dad used to abuse me, and his brothers and the kid used to race as well. The kid would purposely take me out if I was in front of him, and we just had ongoing issues for a very long time. His dad would openly abuse myself and my dad.

"One day he took me out and took himself out too. I stood up for myself, I walked over to him and I punched him in the face which led to both of us getting a suspension, because he was also suspended for driving because he went out of his way to take me out, so that's some of the stuff I had to put up with when I was younger."

Since leaving the circuit, Gracie has been bombarded with offers to return to racing in other forms. There have been offers from Trans AM, 12 and six-hour race events, drifting and sprint cars, which involves driving around in circles on the dirt.

She's also been exploring opportunities abroad, with sponsorship offers flying in from all corners. But for now, she's focussing on properties and OnlyFans, where she says she doesn't receive anywhere near the same level of trolling as she did during her racing days.

"When I compare the two periods of time, motorsport vs OnlyFans, I would say that I absolutely do not get anywhere near as much trolling, I actually find that I get more support now, any of the haters have just shut up because I've proved a point, I'm good at something else and I'm out of motorsport, so they just leave me alone basically.

"The hate I get is so small and minor, compared to that, and I honestly think a lot of people who hate me, it's mainly because they are still racing fans, I don't think that I really ask for hate or heat.

"I can understand why people dislike me, which is totally fine. I feel like most people now just leave me alone because of the position that I'm in. They still say things here and there but it's nowhere near as bad as it was."

Financially, the switch from the circuit to OnlyFans has been meteoric.

She adds: "I've been sitting comfortably on six figures a month for the last almost two years now. I want more properties, more investments, I want more everything. I'm really going to put my foot down and find more properties and start renovating and developing, which is my absolute passion."
