Javi Gracia’s side weathered a late comeback from Wolves to win 4-2 at Molineux, with Leeds now going two points clear of the relegation zone.
Leeds got off to a flying start with Wilfred Gnonto driving towards the byline before cutting back to Jack Harrison who fires the ball into the roof of the goal, leaving Jose Sa in net helpless.
Wolves thought they had an equaliser, Leeds hit back again in the second term with Mario Lemina’s goal was ruled out for offside.
And they were made to rue their missed chance, with Luke Ayling rising high to meet a corner from Marc Roca, heading past the goalkeeper to bring the scores up to 2-0.
But Javi Gracia’s side weren’t done there with Rasmus Kristensen capitalising on a loose ball in the Wolves box before driving a shot into the back of the net.
Wolves weren’t going down without a fight, with Illan Meslier miss-kicking the ball straight to Jonny who struck an astonishing 40-yard volley to get one back for the home side.
With their tails up, Wolves would attack again with Matheus Cunha unleashing a driving shot from a rebound to make it a shaky finish for the Peacocks.
Following a VAR review, Jonny was awarded a red card for a terrible tackle on Luke Ayling.
Rodrigo converted the final goal for Leeds to take the scores to 4-2. Things boiled over after the match with Matheus Nunes who was not on the field being awarded a red card for Wolves.
