Why Daniel James is absent from Manchester United squad for Everton clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Daniel James picked up a knock against Club Brugge in midweek which ruled him out of Manchester United’s clash with Everton.

James was replaced by Tahith Chong at half-time as United secured their place in the Europa League last 16 with a comprehensive 5-0 (6-1 agg) victory over Club Brugge on Thursday evening.

The Wales international will have been desperate to continue his run in the team after starring in the Red Devils’ Premier League win over Watford last weekend.

‘But he’ll be fine for Thursday or definitely next weekend so it’s not too much to worry about.’
