Roma fans have called for Jose Mourinho to receive a ‘lifetime contract’ after his heartwarming celebration with a ball boy.

The Italian side faced a struggling Udinese at home yesterday as they looked to close the gap on Napoli in fourth place.

After Gianluca Mancini opened the scoring with a piercing header early in the first half, Udinese equalised in the 56th minute.

Goals from Paulo Dybala and Stephan El Shaarawy then secured the win for Roma who now sit fifth in the Serie A table.

But – despite Roma’s win – it was their manager Mourinho who made the headlines after his brilliant celebration with a ball boy.

He then hugs one of the ball boys and continues to celebrate with fans in the stands.

One Roma fan wrote on social media: ‘And they are still thinking about whether to renew this man’s contract…’

Another added: ‘I love this man! With all my heart! Lifetime contract for @josemourinho’

Asked about his celebrations, Mourinho told DAZN: ‘When I realised that goal killed off the match, I relaxed and hugged a child near the bench. I had to hug the first person I saw, fortunately it wasn’t a policeman or something.’
