USMNT captain and AFC Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams announced that he and his girlfriend Sarah Schmidt are expecting a baby boy.
Adams, 24, and Schmidt collaboratively posted a photo on their Instagram accounts on Tuesday to share the news.
‘Baby boy coming in January, beyond grateful,’ the pair captioned a photo in which Adams is seen with his hands on Schmidt’s baby bump.
Adams’ current USMNT and former club teammates flooded the comments to congratulate him and Schmidt on the announcement.
‘All grown up,’ Gio Reyna wrote.

Adams and Schmidt made their relationship public by posting on Instagram in June of 2019

Adams and Schmidt have been dating for more than three years. The pair first made their relationship public on Instagram in June of 2019.
Schmidt travelled with Adams to Qatar in 2022 where the midfielder captained the United States in the FIFA World Cup.

Adams joined AFC Bournemouth over the summer but got injured after a single appearance
Adams began his career as a standout with the New York Red Bulls before getting scouted by European clubs.
After making 75 appearances for German side RB Leipzig from 2019-2022, Adams moved to Leeds United in England. Adams played in 24 games for Leeds before the club was relegated out of the Premier League and into the Championship.
Over the summer, Adams signed with Bournemouth but sustained a hamstring injury after one appearance.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola stated that Adams will be out at least until February, meaning work will not be conflicting with his baby’s arrival.
