Trent Alexander-Arnold explains why he copied Kylian Mbappe’s celebration
Trent Alexander-Arnold has scored six goals for Liverpool in his senior career and he has recently followed those up by crossing his arms in celebration.
Many supporters had wondered why the 21-year-old was appearing to imitate PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who has utilised the pose after many of his 90 goals for the Ligue 1 juggernauts.
The England international has now revealed why he chose the composed position as his way of celebrating after he finds the back of the net.
“Mbappe's celebration! It's something I do with my mates…we joke around," he told BBC Sport when asked why he crosses his arms after scoring.

"Obviously I don't score too much, and I was saying for ages that I'd do it when I next scored.
“I think it was about three or four months between my two goals, so I'd been planning it for a while!"
Alexander-Arnold is more well known for his assists having managed 34 in his 123 outings for the Reds.
The Liverpool born defender has entered into a friendly competition with Andy Robertson to see who can create more goals across a season, and he is currently leading.

The duo have made their names as two of the best full backs on the planet since breaking into the team at Anfield, with both playing a huge part in their recent run of 44 games unbeaten.
Robertson told Sky Sports : "Trent has said we believe that we can keep clean sheets and I think the midfield is key to that.
“The manager wants us to get forward, he wouldn't be happy if me and Trent were just stood on the halfway line defending and the back four just stayed where they are.
“It's up to us to take the opportunities to get forward when we feel it is right.”

When asked if he prefers attacking or defending, Alexander-Arnold added: "It's defending. It's the foundation to any result.
“You get a clean sheet you can't lose the game. That's our mentality.
"If we build the foundations with the defensive work and not conceding, we then have the attackers and the midfielders and even ourselves to go forward and create goals.
"More times than not we do score in games, so if we keep clean sheets we will win games."
