Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has invited the young fan who played The Last Post to visit their training ground.
Caiden Storry, a 16-year-old season-ticket holder at the City Ground, took to the pitch to help mark Remembrance Day before their 2-0 victory against Aston Villa on Sunday (November 5). He'd been due to perform the bugle call since the age of 13, but the pandemic had delayed it.
The 29,000-plus crowd fell silent as he began playing, getting off to a flawless start but then struggling towards the end and stopping abruptly as the occasion seemed to overwhelm him. Everyone in the ground broke out into applause while players from both sides consoled Caiden, who was visibly upset.

They were hailed by fans for their classy gestures – and Cooper followed suit with one of his own post-match, offering him the opportunity to properly meet his heroes at their Wilford Lane base.
He told reporters: "For a 16-year-old boy who’s a fan to stand in the middle of the pitch and do that and do it brilliantly as well, he should be really proud and we are proud of him.
"It was nice to see how both sets of players responded, because they have to perform and they know what it’s like. I managed to have a word with Caiden and we will reach out to him and bring him to the training ground because I want him to meet the players so he knows how good he was.
"He said 'I'm sorry about that,' and I said, 'What for, everyone is really proud of you'. The Villa boys were excellent and the fans and players did a brilliant job, Caiden did a brilliant job today and I am really proud he delivered that for us."
