Spanish team post ‘weirdest goal video ever’ that has football fans creasing
Like it or not, we are knee deep in the era of the goal celebration video and they can be contentious topics.
The days of the polite handshake and a quick “I say sir, well played” have been consigned to history. Backflips and somersaults are so 1994 and do not get us started on those players who refuse to celebrate against their former clubs.
It is 2023 and everybody knows the social media admins of all teams have to insert themselves into the celebration to claw as many views as they can together. On that topic, Spanish fourth division side C.D. Guadalajara have managed to do just that in outrageous fashion.

The Segunda Federacion side do not have too many followers outside of their own shores. However, with one celebration video, they have likely accumulated a whole new fanbase.
They did this by uploading a jaw-dropping celebration video of their playmaker Francisco Santano. When it popped up, the No.21 appeared to be rubbing his groin in ‘that’ kind of fashion, while ‘GOOOOL’ graphics went up and down.

Fortunately for those fans who should be too young to know what he looked to have been getting up to, Santano span around to show the camera that he was just cleaning his boots. However, this video is not any old celebration video designed to give the viewer a mild chuckle.
At the time of writing, it has been viewed a staggering 2.8m times on Twitter. To put this into context, the Spanish minnows can only hold 8000 spectators at their Estadio Pedro Escartin home ground.
Fans should expect to see more cheeky videos of Santano now he has finally got off the mark. His goal was his first of the season, after making six appearances in his previous games.
If he does find the back of the net, all eyes will be on the club’s social media channels.
