Roy Keane involved in angry spat after Man Utd loss as ‘drunk fan’ confronts him
Manchester United legend Roy Keane appeared to clash with a Red Devils supporter in the aftermath of the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
United were played off the park by their local rivals at Old Trafford, losing 2-0 in a showing that left fans in dismay at full-time.
Keane echoed their thoughts in the Sky Sports studio, letting viewers know exactly what he thought of the performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
However, things appear to have turned nasty once the Irishman went to leave the stadium.
Captured on video and shared on social media, a short clip shows Keane signing autographs with United fans before being approached by a man.
It is unclear what the supporter said to the former midfielder to spark the confrontation.
But shortly after the video begins, Keane says to the fan: "What do you want me to do? Hang round here all day signing autographs? I'm signing autographs.
The supporter in question then asks: "Why are you being like that?"
To which Keane angrily responds: "Being like what? What did I do? Ah, what you've had a few drinks and they've got beat so you're digging out at me. Alright you've had a few drinks? What has that got to do with me?"
The camera turns away from the argument and when it pans back to Keane, he walks off into the crowd outside Old Trafford, visibly frustrated.
It cannot be confirmed whether the United fan in question was in fact drunk.
Tensions were running high at Old Trafford in the moments after their latest home defeat.
And Keane didn't hold back when discussing the match with fellow pundits Micah Richards and Graeme Souness.
"It felt worse [than the defeat to Liverpool]," said Keane.
"It was so poor. The difference in class, quality and decision making, basically everything.
"I know the old saying is men vs boys, but United are so off it, it's unbelievable."
