Rio Ferdinand snubs crazy Liverpool fan who wanted him to sign shirt

Rio Ferdinand called a young fan "crazy" after he asked the Manchester United legend to sign his Liverpool shirt.

Ferdinand was at Craven Cottage for Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Fulham on Saturday and was walking around the pitch before kick-off when a group of youngsters in the crowd waved him over.

The kids were wearing a mixture of Fulham and Liverpool shirts, though Ferdinand didn't seem to mind and wandered towards them, but refused to entertain the Reds fan, albeit with a smile on his face.

Filming the interaction on his phone, Ferdinand said: "I’ve got some fans here at the Liverpool game. He’s just asked me to sign a Liverpool shirt… are you crazy? I can’t sign it, I can’t."

When one of the boys without a club shirt on claimed he was also a Liverpool supporter, Ferdinand joked that he wanted his autograph back: “Give me it back, I can’t have that," the former England defender said.

As an ex-United man, Ferdinand would have been pleased to see Liverpool drop two points, and Jurgen Klopp's side could've easily walked away with nothing following a strong showing from Marco Silva's Championship winners.

Aleksandar Mitrovic put the hosts ahead in the first half before Liverpool's club-record signing Darwin Nunez levelled the scoring. Mitrovic then put Fulham back in front from the penalty spot before Mo Salah's late strike ensured the points were shared.
