Paris Saint-Germain believe Zinedine Zidane’s managerial style would suit the club’s current squad more than Mauricio Pochettino’s, according to reports. Pochettino is reportedly keen on leaving PSG as soon as possible to become the next Manchester United manager. The former Tottenham boss is the favourite to be named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent successor.
United sacked Solskjaer on Sunday and placed Michael Carrick in temporary charge.
The club said they would appoint an interim manager until the end of the season.
But it has now emerged Pochettino would be keen on the move midway through the campaign.
French football expert Julien Laurens claims PSG are already preparing for the possibility of losing Pochettino.

He says the Ligue 1 giants like the pragmatism of Zidane’s approach to management.
PSG reckon that would be better for them than what Pochettino is currently bringing to the Parc des Princes.
“PSG have always been a big fan of Zinedine Zidane,” Laurens told talkSPORT.
“He has a very pragmatic approach to coaching, far more than Mauricio Pochettino for example who likes to have time and a project and put all his structure in place.

“Zidane is far more pragmatic, far more in the man-management relationship with the dressing room than Pochettino can be and PSG believe that could maybe suit this team more than the Poch approach.
“They also know that Pochettino is not completely happy in Paris. He has said that on many occasions recently in interviews, both in France and in England.
“They also know his dream has always been to be the Manchester United manager.
“Ed Woodward is his biggest fan as well, and same with Richard Arnold.
“[PSG] can sense something is happening on Pochettino’s side, but why not prepare already just in case by making contact with Zidane?”
Laurens can see Pochettino becoming United manager soon, with Zidane replacing him in Paris.
He believes it would be wrong for PSG to block the Argentine’s exit.
“I think they [United] will get him now and I think Zinedine Zidane will come in to replace him,” Laurens added.
“If Poch really wants to go, doesn’t want to be on the PSG bench, why would you keep him there and force him to stay? When your players and you will know that he doesn’t want to be there.
“Let him go, get the money in, bring Zidane on a free, and I think everyone will be happy and everyone will be a winner.”
