Paul Pogba speaks out on Man Utd's win against Man City

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba sent a message to supporters after his side’s 2-0 win against rivals Manchester City.

The Frenchman has made just two appearances for the club since September and is expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer, after being denied a move by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last August.

United splashed £47million on Bruno Fernandes in January and showed little sign of missing Pogba as they produced their best display of the season to beat City 2-0 at home.

Some supporters still believe there is a future for Pogba at Old Trafford and welcoming the Frenchman back into a midfield including the likes of Fernandes, Fred and Scott McTominay is certainly a promising prospect.

And the World Cup winner has shown that his head still remains at the club by insisting ‘Manchester is Red’ on Instagram.

Pogba took to Instagram with the simple message and included a GIF of himself celebrating.

The Frenchman hopes to return to first team training this week as he steps up his recovery from ankle surgery.

It’s likely to be too late for Pogba to feature in next Sunday’s clash against Tottenham and former manager Jose Mourinho but he could instead aim for the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Norwich on March 21st.
