- Everton came fourth in the 2004-05 Premier League, finishing above Liverpool
- David Moyes developed a superb squad that qualified for the Champions League

The Chang one, when we finished fourth ahead of Liverpool and reached the Champions League.
We’d replaced Wayne Rooney with Marcus Bent and Tim Cahill that summer and the expectations were that we’d be relegated.
Obviously I remember it for me and Tommy Gravesen in midfield, with Cahill too. Tommy created the goals but left for Real Madrid in January and we replaced him with Mikel Arteta. One influential player for another.
David Moyes created such an amazing togetherness and spirit. We had one way of playing, high tempo and high energy.
Moyes was very high on standards and training levels. Physically we were pushed to our maximum most days and I can’t remember us ever doing recovery sessions!
Everton’s 2004-05 home shirt was picked by Lee Carsley as his favourite ever shirt in football
