Marcus Rashford has revealed he is doing extra work with Manchester United’s summer signing Rasmus Hojlund as the pair look to quickly build a potent partnership in attack.
Hojlund joined Man United in the summer for £72m from Atalanta, with the 20-year-old Danish forward backed by the club to ease the goalscoring burden on Rashford.
The England star scored 30 goals in all competitions for Man United last season, with Bruno Fernandes the only other player to reach double figures by netting 14.
Hojlund scored his first Man United goal in their 4-3 Champions League group stage defeat to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
He completed 90 minutes for the first time for the Red Devils in their 1-0 Premier League win over Burnley, following an injury disrupted start at the club.

The partnership with Hojlund has already excited Rashford, who prefers playing off the left flank, as he revealed they are working closely off the pitch to develop their understanding of each other’s games.
‘I am honestly super excited about it,’ Rashford told Premier League Productions, as per Man United’s club website.
‘At times last year, we were going on counter-attacks and we would just see shirts of other bodies, and usually, the only the cut-back that was on was to Bruno (Fernandes) who was arriving later.
‘Whereas this year, you have to understand the dynamics have changed, so we have spoken to each other and done a little bit of work off the pitch, probably that the coaching staff don’t even know, between (just) me and him.
‘I just want to understand his game and for him to understand my game as quickly as possible.
‘It’s just the speed we can attack at now is completely different.
‘It’s just having that confidence that when you do make a run in behind, someone else on the opposite side is making that run and hopefully it will get to the stage where you won’t even have to look for him, you can just put it in there and we know that he is in and around there.
Man United turned to Hojlund in the summer to ease the goalscoring burden on Rashford
‘He is a big, strong, physical lad, he has good finishing abilities. So when the chances do come to him, he will score goals.’
Rashford and Hojlund will look to put their partnership to the test when Man United host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Man United boss Erik ten Hag will look to build momentum after a difficult start to the season, which has seen his side win three and lose three in the Premier League.
Their 3-0 Carabao Cup success over the same opposition in midweek with provide confidence ahead of their last match with the Eagles.
