Chelsea have reached the FA Cup final, after beating Manchester United 3-1 at Wembley

Replaced Kepa and hardly tested until he was beaten from the spot.

CESAR AZPILICUETA – 6.5

Got forward well down the right and produced a great cross to set up the first goal

ANTONIO RUDIGER – 7

Solid at the back and got forward to force Maguire’s error for the third goal.

KURT ZOUMA – 6

A little lucky to get away with late tackle on Martial after recovering from clash of heads with Bailly.

REECE JAMES – 6.5

Unlucky not to score with powerful 20-yard drive early on and header that was well saved by De Gea.

Olivier Giroud was on fire for Chelsea and even opened the scoring for Frank Lampard’s men

JORGINHO – 7

Excellent, efficient job in marshalling the Chelsea midfield. Hardly put a foot wrong.

MATEO KOVACIC – 7

Did an excellent job of breaking up United’s attacks and breaking from deep.

MARCOS ALONSO – 6.5

A threat on the left, almost scoring with an early header and setting up the third goal.

WILLIAN – 7.5

Full of energy leading Chelsea’s press and counter attack on few occasions United threatened.

OLIVIER GIROUD – 8

Four-time winner put Chelsea on course for the final with excellent movement and finish.

MASON MOUNT – 7.5

In for Pulisic and looked dangerous from the start. Got his reward with a goal.

FRANK LAMPARD – 8

Chelsea’s best result under him. Pressing game knocked United off their stride and win was fully deserved

Substitutes: Kepa, Christensen, Abraham (for Giroud 80), Pedro (for Mount 90+6), Loftus-Cheek (for Kovacic 86), Hudson-Odoi (for Willian 80), Pulisic, Tomori, Emerson.

Scorers: Giroud (45+11), Mount 46, Maguire og 74

Mason Mount was one of the stars of the show for Chelsea, scoring the second for the Blues

Manchester United (3-4-1-2)

DAVID DE GEA – 4

Picked ahead of cup keeper Romero. Poor effort to save the first goal and an awful one for the second.

VICTOR LINDELOF – 6

Performed well on the whole but guilty of losing Giroud in build-up to the first goal

HARRY MAGUIRE – 5

Cut his head in collision with teammate Bailly and unfortunate to score an own-goal for Chelsea’s third.

ERIC BAILLY – 6

Brought in as part of back-three but went off before half-time after clashing heads with Zouma and Maguire.

Manchester United’s Eric Bailly was forced off in the first half with a serious head injury

AARON WAN-BISSAKA – 5.5

Poor distribution in the face of Chelsea press, and again looked vulnerable at his back post.

FRED – 5

Subbed by Pogba shortly after half-time after average display. The Frenchman should probably have started.

NEMANJA MATIC – 5.5

Had little influence and missed a chance to get United back in the game with late header.

BRANDON WILLIAMS – 5

First start since lockdown and looked rusty. Gave the ball away for Chelsea’s second goal.

BRUNO FERNANDES – 7

Injured three times in the first half but still United’s most creative player and then converted late penalty.

Bruno Fernandes did, however, provide Manchester United with a solid performance

DANIEL JAMES – 5

Came in for Mason Greenwood but struggled to have a significant impact on the game.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 5.5

Had an off day and wasted United’s best chance when he fired wide early in the second half.

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER – 5

Made changes to the line-up and system but it backfired as United lost their fluency.

Substitutes: Pogba (for Fred 55, 6), Mata, Martial (for Bailly 45+2, 6.5), Pereira, Romero, Fosu-Mensah (for Wan-Bissaka 79, 6), Ighalo (for Rashford 79, 5.5), Greenwood (for James 56, 6), McTominay

Scorer: Fernandes pen 85

Booked: Pogba

Referee: Mike Dean – 7

Difficult stop-start game due to injuries but got the penalty decision right.
