Man Utd star Odion Ighalo delivers Bruno Fernandes verdict – and praises two other players
Manchester United star Odion Ighalo has praised fellow new boy Bruno Fernandes ahead of today’s Premier League clash with Everton. And the Nigeria international also had positive words for Anthony Martial and Daniel James.
Manchester United rarely sign players in January – but landed two during the winter transfer window.
Fernandes was the first to arrive, touching down from Sporting Lisbon in a transfer deal worth an initial £46million.
And, on transfer deadline day, United landed Ighalo on loan from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
Both players have enjoyed positive starts to their Old Trafford careers.
And Ighalo has now praised Fernandes, while also taking the time to talk up both James and Martial.
“It’s been great here,” the former Watford striker told the club’s official website.

“The lads are all great guys. It’s a happy dressing room, the coach and everyone around the club make me feel at home. I’m really enjoying my time here.
“We have quality players in the team.
“Martial is on fire, scoring goals. Bruno [Fernandes] is doing well, [Daniel] James too, everybody from the goalkeeper to the top is working really hard.
“So I think this is very good for the team.
“We need to keep the momentum going and keep winning games and fighting in every match, to make sure we get our objectives at the end of the season.”

Ighalo scored on his first United start in midweek.
The Nigeria international scored the second goal in the club’s stirring 5-0 win over Club Brugge in the Europa League.
The games are coming thick and fast for United, with Ighalo expecting to get some more game time.
And he’d love to find the net against Everton when the two teams meet on Sunday afternoon.
“Yes, I scored at Goodison Park,” said the 30-year-old of his previous visits to Merseyside.
“It was 2-2 and I played my first game in the Premier League – and scored a goal! I was happy.
“If I have the opportunity to go back again there, it will be very good.”
United will be out to avoid a repeat of what happened when they faced Everton at Goodison Park last season.
The Red Devils lost 4-0 on a chastening afternoon and their season never recovered.
But Solskjaer’s men are on a roll at present and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.
