Man Utd star drives Bruno Fernandes to training & brings him packed lunch
Bruno Fernandes is driven to training every day by Manchester United team-mate Diogo Dalot, according to reports.
The January signing has been an instant star at Old Trafford and has already bagged three goals for his new side in just seven appearances.
The Times claim Fernandes has been a massive hit with his team-mates too and is driven to training by close friend and United right-back Dalot every day.
The Portuguese pair both live in Cheshire and Dalot even brings a packed lunch for Fernandes on some days.
Fernandes’ ability to speak English has helped the attacker fit in quickly with his team-mates and was a key reason Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed the 25-year-old in January.
Solskjaer was desperate for reinforcements in the winter transfer window, but United struggled for a time to come to terms with Sporting Lisbon on the transfer.
Eventually an initial fee of £46.6million was agreed, but there are various add-ons in the deal that could see that figure reach £52m.
Ahead of the Manchester derby this weekend, Solskjaer was full of praise for his new talisman.
‘I like to see that in a player, he doesn’t change coming into a new team. He’s the same as he was at Sporting,’ he said.
‘That’s a boy with confidence, with quality, good form and that’s his personality. Everyone should be themselves.
‘He’s come in as a leader and he’s shown he’s a leader. He’s a winner. He doesn’t take 99 per cent as good enough.’
