Man Utd predicted XI vs Burnley as pressure piles on Erik ten Hag
Assessing Man Utd's start to the Premier League season | Football Digest
Manchester United will go in search of only their third win of the campaign when they travel to Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday evenig, with kick-off at 8pm. And only victory will suffice for the Red Devils, with boss Erik ten Hag overseeing three defeats on the bounce in all competitions.
United have endured a dismal September following back-to-back 3-1 league defeats to Arsenal and Brighton. On Wednesday night, the 13-time Premier league champions were also dispatched 4-3 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League. And Express Sport takes a look at how Ten Hag could line his team up at Turf Moor as the pressure on him intensifies.
Goalkeeper – Onana
Andre Onana requested an interview in the aftermath of the defeat to Bayern and took responsibility for the result. The Cameroon goalkeeper was brought in to replace David de Gea in the summer but has had a nightmare start to his Old Trafford career and has conceded a whopping 14 goals in six matches. If he doesn’t buck his ideas up soon, Ten Hag will be regretting his decision to sign him.
Defence – Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Reguilon
United have faced an injury crisis in defence this season and will be desperate to get Raphael Varane back in the fold, with the France international returning to training after missing the last three matches. Varane could be recalled to partner Lisandro Martinez in the centre of the backline, with Sergio Reguilon keeping his place at left-back. And with Aaron Wan-Bissaka facing a spell on the sidelines, Ten Hag will turn to Diogo Dalot at right-back once again.

Midfield – Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes
Casemiro has been a reliable presence in midfield for United since joining the club from Real Madrid last year and even came up with a brace against Bayern in midweek. And Ten Hag will be looking for the Brazil international to put in another big performance against Burnley.
Casemiro could be partnered by Christian Eriksen, who has started the Red Devils’ last four matches in all competitions. Meanwhile. Bruno Fernandes could be given the freedom to roam forward and lay on the chances for his attacking team-mates, with United finding the back of the net just six times in the league so far.

Forwards – Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford
With Antony and Jadon Sancho currently out of the team, United are short of options on the right wing. And Ten Hag could turn to Alejandro Garnacho to occupy the position.
Marcus Rashford has looked a lot sharper since moving to his favoured position on the left wing and will be at the heart of most of United’s attacking moves at Turf Moor. Rasmus Hojlund should be given the nod up front and will be desperate for his first Premier League goal after getting his name on the scoresheet against Bayern.
