Man Utd ‘offer Boubacar Kamara five-year deal’ and may sign star before deadline

Manchester United are ready to offer Boubacar Kamara a five-year contract and could even seal his signature by the end of the January window.

Kamara is entering the final six months of his current deal in Marseille and has been heavily tipped with a move to the Premier League after snubbing a new contract with The Phocaeans.

Despite captaining the Ligue 1 outfit on several occasions this season, the 22-year-old rejected a bumper deal that would have seen him become the club's highest earner.

As well as Old Trafford, Newcastle United has also been credited as a potential destination due to the club's frivolous financial approach in the transfer market.

Though it seems Kamara favours a move to Manchester, solving the Red Devils' long-standing midfield issue.

Since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have struggled to find a deep-lying playmaker comfortable enough to dictate the pace of the game.

And in Ralf Rangnick's preferred 4-2-2-2, neither Fred nor Nemanja Matic are trusted alongside Scott McTominay in the deeper role, leading to the United boss looking elsewhere for the Scotsman's midfield partner.

Would Boubacar Kamara be a good signing for Manchester United? Let us know in the comments section.

Now it appears the Red Devils are closing in on a much-needed signing with self-proclaimed transfer specialist Nicolo Schira reporting United are 'working to sign Boubacar Kamara.'

Schira states Rangnick is ready to offer the Frenchman a five-year deal at Old Trafford and it is believed a pre-contract agreement could be finalised by the end of the window.

If signed, Kamara would link up with his new United teammates in the summer after seeing out the remainder of his contract in Marseille.
