Manchester United have confirmed the arrival of former Arsenal doctor Gary O’Driscoll, joining as a head of sports medicine for men’s, women’s and their academy sides.
O’Driscoll spent 14 years at Arsenal before deciding to leave the club in the summer and now has made the switch to Old Trafford.
The move comes after Man United have seen their medical department criticised recently as Erik ten Hag’s side suffered from an injury crisis.
The Red Devils saw 12 players unavailable to play against Bayern Munich in midweek due to injury-related issues.
Man United have now confirmed the arrival of O’Driscoll on their official club website.

He had a strong relationship with Mikel Arteta, as shown in Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary
The move comes after Man United’s former doctor Steve McNally departed last season, with an interim in charge.
McNally left after 17 years with the club and has now been replaced as O’Driscoll prepares for his new role.
The medicine expert will be known to Arsenal fans as he appeared in their All or Nothing documentary with Amazon.
During his time at the Gunners he was seen holding medical briefings with Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff.
It remains to be seen as to whether he will do the same at Old Trafford, with the club revealing that he has been a life-long Man United fan.
O’Driscoll will be looking to make his impact as soon as possible, with United having lost three of their five opening games in the Premier League this season.
