Liverpool have been given Andre answer for January transfer

Jurgen Klopp will resume his pursuit of Fluminese star Andre in January after having an approach for the 22-year-old knocked back by the Brazilian club in June. Liverpool were left scrambling to find a new No 6 during the summer transfer window after Jordan Henderson and Fabinho were sucked up by the Saudi windfall.
Andre had been identified as an ideal signing to fill the void left by Henderson in the deep-lying playmaker role but Fluminese insisted he wouldn’t be up for sale until the following transfer window – in January – due to their ongoing involvement in the Copa Libertadores (South America’s Champions League), where they are through to the semi-finals.
Liverpool then turned their attention to Moises Caicedo and had a £111million bid for the Ecuadorian midfielder accepted before he came out and declared he wouldn’t be signing for any other club but Chelsea having already agreed personal terms with the Blues back in May.
Chelsea then added insult to injury by hijacking Liverpool’s deal for Romeo Lavia, leaving the Reds with few holding midfield options. In the end, they settled for Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo, who joined for £16.2million.
He was quickly followed through the door by versatile midfielder Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich. The Dutchman set Liverpool back £34.3million and offers a similar profile to Andre but with the Brazilian continuing to impress in Serie A, Klopp may choose to go back in for him regardless.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Merseyside club remain interested in Andre and he is equally as keen on the move. Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, the transfer guru, said: “It’s not over, it’s still something we have to keep an eye on because Liverpool really like Andre. They had positive conversations with Fluminense, they have good relationships.

“Fluminense were showing how strong they are in the Brazilian and South American market as they said no way the player is leaving, so credit to Fluminense, it was not easy, but I think Liverpool will keep monitoring the player.”
If Liverpool are to make a move for Andre once again it is thought he will cost them in the region of £25-30m with there being three years still remaining on his contract at the Maracana.
