Kane and Haaland beaten to No1 spot for goal involvements in Europe this season

Harry Kane and Erling Haaland have been beaten to the top spot for most European goal involvements this season.

Europe's top two strikers have both started the season in electric form – with Kane netting a hat-trick against VfL Bochum and Haaland against Fulham. However, there is one man who can argue he has performed better than them so far his campaign.

Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy has found the net 10 times, and he's also chipped in with one assist. As a result, Guirassy has 11 goal involvements, while Kane is on 10 and Haaland is on nine.

Guirassy netted his first Bundesliga hat-trick earlier this month, when he achieved a treble against Mainz. Stuttgart had almost been relegated last season, but there troubles seem far behind them with their inform talisman.

Speaking after Guirassy's hat-trick, Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeness said: "We’re on a roll right now and up front we’ve got a striker in Serhou who’s putting everything away."

Kane has had a great start to life in Bavaria and speaking to TNT Sports he had nothing but praise for his team-mates: "Jamal has been fantastic. There's been a lot of talk about how good he is and how young he is.

“He's been great to watch in training and in tight areas how he moves and how he plays forwards. He's been fantastic to play with so far.”

He added: “Thomas Muller, how intelligent he is. People from the outside sometimes don't appreciate these types of players who are just one step ahead in the brain compared to the rest of the team.

“Overall I think we've got fantastic players all around the pitch and that’s the exciting thing being at a club like this.”
