Leonardo Bonucci reportedly faces a lengthy ban after furiously shoving Inter Milan secretary Cristiano Mozzillo on the touchline as their rivals celebrated a late winner against Juventus in the Supercoppa final.

Bonucci saw red after Mozzillo cheered wildly following Alexis Sanchez’s dramatic strike to win the trophy, with the defender – who was preparing to be introduced as a sub – now in hot water with Italian football chiefs.

Footage shows the Juventus defender who – was frustrated about not featuring during the game until this point and seeing his side concede in the last minute – lost his cool, pushing and insulting the Inter staff member on the sidelines.

The veteran Italian was involved in a fiery exhange after seeing Mozzillo celebrating

Alexis Sanchez (centre with trophy) scored a last-gasp winner to seal a 2-1 final victory

Mozzillo is a former secretary of Napoli’s academy and now first team secretary of Inter having worked with their youth side since 2018.

And Italian outlet Il Tempo claim that the Euro 2020 winner could now find himself in trouble with Italian football authorities.

The report adds Mozzillo looked on in disbelief at his reaction, with officials having to restrain the veteran centre-back.

Sportsmail has approached Juventus for comment.

The shocking images leave no room for doubt and Bonucci’s unsportsmanlike behaviour could end up in the refeere’s post-match report. Bonucci could be suspended for a handful of matches after his disrespectful conduct.

The defender unleashing his anger and frustration was an unwelcome gesture for Max Allegri’s side, who are already dealing with setbacks, controversies and poor form this season.

The Italian had waiting to come on as a late substitute with the sole purpose of taking a spotkick should the clash go to a penalty shootout.

The Juventus staff were reportedly urging their players to give away a free kick so the 34-year-old could be introduced.

But the Bianconeri’s plan quickly fell apart as Sanchez pounced on an error from Alex Sandro to seal a 2-1 win for Inter.
