Hodgson laughs at Guardiola meltdown as Crystal Palace boss enters ‘IDGAF era’
Football fans were left in stitches after seeing Roy Hodgson laugh his head off at Pep Guardiola's touchline meltdown as Crystal Palace drew 2-2 with Manchester City.
Hodgson and Crystal Palace travelled to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon to take on Guardiola's Man City on the back of two straight defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth. And at the hour mark of their clash against the defending Premier League champions, it looks as if they were going to be heading for their third consecutive loss.
Goals from Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis saw City comfortably in control of the game, but that script was flipped on 76 minutes when Jean-Philippe Mateta grabbed a goal back for Palace with 15 minutes plus injury-time left to play.

And then deep into injury-time, City's comfortable lead evaporated, with Palace star Michael Olise converting a late penalty after Phil Foden caught Mateta inside the area. And the 2-2 draw means that fourth placed City now sit four points behind Liverpool, three behind Arsenal and one behind Aston Villa, who all have a game in hand on Guardiola and co.
The Spaniard did not seem best pleased by what he witnessed on the touchline at the Etihad late on, throwing his arms up in the air and his body backwards after the penalty was awarded. And while there were football fans on social media who greatly enjoyed his meltdown, it seems as though it was Hodgson who enjoyed it most.
