Havertz tipped for Chelsea return as Arsenal and Utd predicted nightmare seasons
Kai Havertz could return to Chelsea in the future, according to former Blues winger Florent Malouda. The German has had an underwhelming start to his Arsenal career and has been tipped to make a move back to Stamford Bridge at some point.
Havertz vows to give everything for Arsenal
Arsenal made Havertz their first signing of the summer in June. He completed a £65million transfer to the Emirates as Mauricio Pochettino began to reshape his Chelsea squad.
The versatile star was one of a number of high-profile exits from the Blues. He had a difficult last season at the club after he was shoehorned into a No 9 role.
Havertz has been used as a midfielder by Mikel Arteta in his early days as an Arsenal player. He has drawn criticism for his performances, with Simon Jordan labelling him the “ultimate time-waster”.

Malouda believes it was the right decision for Chelsea to sell him to Arsenal and says they will not regret doing so. But the Frenchman, who won the Premier League in 2010, can see him returning to west London in the future.
Malouda told Betway: “It was necessary and a solution for Chelsea and Arsenal for Havertz to go to the Emirates. He won the Champions League but he seemed to be unhappy with a lot of talk about his position
“I wish him all the best at Arsenal but I don’t think Chelsea will have regrets. Maybe he could come back to Chelsea in a few years, but I think there will be no regrets and he did a great job at Chelsea.”

Chelsea have picked up just one point from their opening two matches of the Premier League season. A draw at home to Liverpool on the opening day was followed by a 3-1 loss at West Ham.
Chelsea finished 12th last term and out of European football altogether. Malouda believes it will be another tough season but can see them making the necessary improvements to sneak into the Champions League qualification places, predicting Arsenal and Manchester United to have tough campaigns.
He added: “I think Chelsea will struggle to get in the top four but I think they’ll still do it. Manchester City are above all teams in the league, then I would pick Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea after that.
“It’s a transition season for them, but I’d pick them over Man Utd. To make it in the top four now is very difficult. City will be champions again.”
