Graeme Souness launches fresh rant at Paul Pogba over continued Man Utd absence
Graeme Souness has launched a fresh rant at Paul Pogba , claiming the star "does not want to play for Man Utd ."
Pogba is nearing a return to the United first team after undergoing ankle surgery in January.
The Frenchman has managed just eight appearances so far this season due to his injury issues, after his previous return from a three-month layoff lasted just two games.
Now Souness believes there is more to Pogba's spell on the sidelines and questioned his desire to pull on a Red Devils shirt.
"Maybe Man Utd should be looking at the medical staff here at Goodison [Park]," Souness told Sky Sports. "They got [Andre] Gomes back in a fraction of the time in what would appear to be a far worse injury.
"Paul Pogba I see him dancing at a wedding, I see him shooting hoops, and just the cynic in me feels he doesn't want to be at United.
"He doesn't want to play for United. How can you not want to play for Man Utd. If that is the case."
Fellow pundit Roy Keane interjected: "He thinks he's at a fashion show or something."
Everton's Gomes suffered a fracture dislocation of his ankle in a horror injury in November, but took just three months to make a full recovery.
The Portuguese midfielder started the Toffees' clash with United at Goodison Park, while Pogba is still at least a week away from a comeback, having last played on Boxing Day.
Pogba is said to be 50/50 to be involved in the Manchester derby next weekend, although a return against Tottenham the following week seems more likely.
