Garnacho’s acting hero urges him to ditch Man Utd after Everton screamer
Alejandro Garnacho has the potential to do some amazing things – Erik ten Hag
Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell, who is tattooed on Alejandro Garnacho’s arm, has called on the Manchester United wonderkid to ditch the Red Devils and join Liverpool after his acrobatic wonder goal against Everton on Sunday.
Garnacho needed just over two minutes of Premier League action following the international break before coming up with one of the division’s finest ever strikes. The Argentina international is virtually nailed-on to win goal of the season after executing a perfect bicycle kick to beat Jordan Pickford from the edge of the box.
Hollywood actor Purcell was among those to offer his congratulations, and his post on Instagram will surely have brought a smile to Garnacho’s face given that his famous character, Lincoln Burrows, features on his Prison Break-themed sleeve tattoo.
However, Purcell playfully threw in a tinge of controversy by suggesting that Garnacho should trade Old Trafford for Anfield and sign for his beloved Liverpool.

“Well if my face – let’s be real, Lincoln Burrows’ face – is tattooed on someone I’m humbled [that] it’s yours,” he wrote. “Can I dare say I was there by default [laughing emoji] when Alejandro scored one of the greatest goals ever witnessed in the English Premier League?
“Congrats to you son, and Manchester United fans. What a beautiful moment. Any chance of a transfer to Liverpool? [Five laughing emojis].”

Garnacho’s stunning strike, and the 3-0 win over Everton that followed, restored a feel-good factor around Man Utd after a turbulent start to the season under Erik ten Hag. The 19-year-old may have played his way into the starting XI for Wednesday’s crunch Champions League clash with Galatasaray.
The same can be said for Kobbie Mainoo, 18, who shone at Goodison Park. And the United boss maintains that those who meet his standards will be rewarded with game time, regardless of their age.
“I don’t know if [Garnacho] has been training [bicycle kicks], it won’t be good for his back!” joked the Dutchman. “He has that special talent, but I am more happy for his work off the ball against Everton.
“For me, it was his best game. He is going to be such a good player, for his age, for his talent, he can be much better. If players are good enough, they are old enough. We are very pleased, but [the youngsters] have to do it on a consistent basis.”
