Giuliano Simeone, the youngest son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, notched his seventh goal of the Segunda Division campaign on Sunday and his stunning strike is already tipped to be one of the goals of the season.
There were 35 minutes on the clock when the Real Zaragoza striker made an incisive diagonal run in which he evaded the attentions of two defenders, before slaloming his way past a further three opponents and dinking a cute left-footed finish over Leganés goalkeeper Asier Riesgo from the left side of the penalty area.
It was a finish that not only stunned the crod inside the Estadio La Romareda stadium but also Simeone and his tea-mates who ran to the corner flag under emphatic celebrations.
The 20-year-old navigated his way through four defenders in the space of less than ten seconds as Leganes players failed to get a grasp of the determined goalscorer.
The Argentine forward is the youngest of ‘El Cholo’ Simeone’s three sons. Giovanni, the eldest, turns out for Napoli and has been watched by West Ham and Everton, while Gianluca, his middle child, plays for Xerez DFC.

Rome-born Giuliano currently sits top of the Real Zaragoza scoring charts and is second among the most goal involvements in Spanish football’s U21 age group (seven goals, three assists), behind only Celta Vigo’s much coveted attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga in La Liga.
Giuliano is currently on loan at Zaragoza from parent club Atlético Madrid where he came up through the ranks after checking in from River Plate as a teenager.
