Sheffield United, Burnley, Leeds, Southampton, Tottenham and even Barcelona have all checked on his progress since he emerged as Fleetwood’s youngest ever player in 2018.

Fleetwood manager Simon Grayson has underlined the importance of Hill making a move to a club where he would play regularly rather than join their U23s and they believe Bournemouth can give him the ideal platform.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign Jed Wallace from Millwall.

Forest had asked about Blackpool winger Josh Bowler last week but have now switched to 27-year old Wallace.
