According to the Mail , talks for the 19-year-old are already underway as Mikel Arteta is hoping to complete the deal before Euro 2020.

It is believed Feyenoord have been trying convince Kokcu's representatives to extend his current contract beyond 2023, but due to increased interest from across Europe it is doubtful the Dutch side possess the financial clout to strike a deal.

The Gunners are keen to secure the permanent signing of Kokcu before the European Championships as they fear they could miss out on the starlet if he impresses for Turkey, should he be selected.

The right-footed midfielder has made 33 appearances so far this season for the Dutch club, scoring three times and laying on six assists.

Arsenal are aware they may have to act fast to secure the youngster's signature, as they face competition from London rivals Chelsea .

La Liga teams Valencia, Sevilla and Real Betis are also reportedly keeping tabs on the future star.
