Alfredo Morelos issues social media apology to Rangers after Steven Gerrard snub
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has issued a social media apology after he was disciplined by the club for returning to Glasgow a day late following compassionate leave.
The Colombian has been at the centre of a number of controversies during his time in Ibrox.
And manager Steven Gerrard refused to consider him for selection against Hearts after he failed to turn up to training following the win over Braga on Thursday after flying home for family reasons.
Morelos now taken to social media to apologise to the club for his behaviour.
"I wish to apologise to the club, the manager, coaching staff, all of my team-mates, and the Rangers fans for disappointing them with my conduct last week," he said on Instagram.

"I understand that people inside and outside the club are disappointed that I let them down and it was never my intention to do so.
"Everyone at Rangers has given me so much love that I'm so grateful for and I just want to show everyone on the pitch how much Rangers means to me."
Speaking about the forward and his recent absence, Ibrox chief Gerrard also admitted Morelos had apologised to the club.
"He's showed a lot of remorse for his actions, letting his team-mates down and the supporters down," he said.

"He's accepted his punishment, which will stay private for obvious reasons, so yes he's available for selection."
Pressed further on whether can still trust Morelos, the Rangers boss added: "As a club, we're very united from top to bottom in terms of our standards and what is expected.
"That goes for all of us. When someone goes against that trust it's important that they're punished for it. So that's what's happened.

"But it's important that we're not stubborn here. We don't continue it to fester and carry on. It's important that we move on from these situations.
"It's important that it's dealt with strongly, which it has been, and we move forward."
Gerrard himself has had to quash speculation he was ready to walk out on Rangers following his comments after the cup defeat to Hearts.
