Red Bull learn fate from FIA investigation as Hamilton warned about Las Vegas GP

All attention has turned to the bright lights of Las Vegas ahead of next weekend’s return to Sin City. With unmatched grandeur and freezing cold track temperatures expected, this looks set to be a memorable occasion both on and off the track.

Much of the onus is on Mercedes heading into the weekend off the back of a miserable trip to Interlagos. The Silver Arrows now sit just 20 points clear of Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship standings.

Red Bull, meanwhile, are heading for their first-ever one-two finish in the Drivers’ Championship after Sergio Perez stretched out his lead over Hamilton with a P4 finish in Brazil.

Red Bull discover Haas protest verdict

Sergio Perez will not lose any points from the United States Grand Prix after the FIA rejected Haas’ right to review the race result.

The American team were suggesting that Perez, as well as the likes of Lance Stroll, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, all deserved extra time penalties for track limit violations.

If the protest was upheld, Perez would have dropped to tenth in the classification with Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg climbing to seventh.

Thankfully for Checo, there will be no points deducted from his tally in his battle for P2 in the World Championship with Lewis Hamilton.
