Pre-game scuffle breaks out ahead of Nebraska-Ohio State game

Things escalated quickly on the visiting Buckeyes’ sideline.

During warmups ahead of their matchup against Nebraska, several Huskers crowded around the Ohio State sideline and chirped some words that started a minor scuffle. A couple of players appeared to be yelling inches apart before some Buckeyes staff broke up the scrap. A couple of Buckeyes were caught laughing, and some even lunged at the Huskers and were forcibly held back.

Nebraska coach Scott Frost is in the hot seat as the Huskers take on the Buckeyes. A win at home against fifth-ranked Ohio State is the big win he and his team have been seeking. A loss to Nebraska could severely hurt the Buckeyes’ chances at securing a spot in the College Football Playoff. 

The Huskers are already showing some of the aggressive energy on the field. Nebraska’s defense held the Buckeyes 90 total yards and allowed them to convert on three of five third downs in the first quarter. JoJo Domann also intercepted a pass from CJ Stroud to prevent the Buckeyes from opening the scoring with a touchdown.

The Buckeyes are favored by 8.5 points, according to Fanduel, and Nebraska has hung with Ohio State in the first half
