UFC’s Alexander Volkanovski shed two stone in nine days in body transformation
Alexander Volkanovski lost two stone in nine days as he once again bids to make history – this time at UFC 294.
The Australian, the undisputed featherweight king, will step in to rematch lightweight champion Islam Makhachev this Saturday on 11 days notice following an injury in training to Charles Oliveira.
The 35-year-old needed to act fast in making the 155lb limit and got over the line before Friday's weigh-ins just three months after he defended his featherweight strap.

His dietician Jordan Sullivan shared details of the extraordinary weight-loss on Instagram – with some eye-opening side-by-side photos.
He said: "It takes a special type of individual to take on that physical and mental challenge but there’s a reason @alexvolkanovski is best in the world at this.
"You can’t pull something like this off unless you are on top of your training and nutrition year round. There was some easy post holiday pounds that came off fast initially but there was still a lot of work to be done. Crunch the numbers, do the work, get the results."

Volkanovski (25-2) lost a controversial decision to 31-year-old Makhachev (24-1) back in February in Perth, Australia.
Now headlining UFC 294 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, he faces an uphill task against the protege of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Volkanovski bids to be only the fourth simultaneous champion in UFC history after Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Henry Cejudo.
