Nate Diaz makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon tonight as he faces Tony Ferguson in the final fight on his UFC contract. The Californian was supposed to be squaring off against Khamzat Chimaev but after the Swede missed weight by 7.5lb Ferguson was promoted from his co-main event slot.

Diaz refused to accept a catchweight fight with Chimaev following the news that he had weighed in at 178.5lb forcing the MMA giants to make a last-minute switch around to their main card. Ferguson — who was supposed to face Li Jingliang — stepped on the scales at 171lb and so was asked to replace Borz.

Jingliang was then given Daniel Rodriguez as a new opponent while Kevin Holland and Chimaev were booked in a catchweight contest for the co-feature. According to reports, these were the two men that started the backstage brawl which led to the press conference being cancelled. Now they will have the opportunity to the throw-down for real in the cage.
