Graphic image of UFC star Devin Clark’s smashed teeth emerge after fight

UFC fighter Devin Clark was subject to a brutal injury during his fight with Ion Cutelaba during Saturday night's UFC Vegas 37 event, with images showing the damage inflicted to his mouth and teeth.

The American, 31, lost via a unanimous decision to the Moldovan – and even needed his teeth seen to when the second round finished.

Medics noticed blood protruding from his mouth and the fighter was given treatment.

The injury did not stop Clark from continuing the fight but he was unable to do enough to defeat Cutelaba, making it back-to-back losses.

Cutelaba later conceded that though the injury was bad, it was not the worst he had ever inflict on an opponent.

"I am very strong with my punches,' Cutelaba said in his post-fight interview.

"But Clark is a really good fighter and I am strong and my punches are tough but he was a strong opponent.

"But I have inflicted other injuries on other opponents with my elbow and knee, it isn't the worst.

"'The Hulk' is back, I'm staying here. I'm staying here this night. Thank you so much, Devin Clark. Good fight. I respect you. The next fight is fighting the top (of the division)."

MMA star Tatiana Suarez tweeted later about the horrific injury: “Literally about to gag thinking about Devins teeth being almost knocked out #UFCVegas37.”

While Cody Durden said on Saturday: “Ion Cutelaba with a dominate performance! Good takedowns.”

Cutelaba’s last win came in September 2019, having lost two and drawing one of his last three fights.

The Moldovan lost on both occasions to Magomed Ankalaev in 2020 before getting a draw with Dustin Jacoby earlier this year.

Dana White, meanwhile, stated how impressed he was with Clark, given the fact he decided to continue on with the fight in lieu of his injury.

He said: “One tough dude,” alongside an image of his injuries.
