Stephen Curry set to return to Golden State Warriors lineup Thursday

The Golden State Warriors have had a brutal season, but there's finally a bit of good news: Stephen Curry is back.

The two-time MVP, who has been out since breaking his left hand Oct. 30 in a game against the Phoenix Suns, is set to return in Thursday night's NBA Finals rematch against the Toronto Raptors, the Warriors announced Wednesday afternoon.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic was the first to report the news that Curry was cleared to return.

Curry has played in just four games this season, missing 58 consecutive contests after breaking his hand in a hard fall involving Aron Baynes. The Warriors, coming off five consecutive NBA Finals trips – three of them ending in titles – have struggled in Curry's absence as well as with the season-long absence of Klay Thompson, who tore his ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Golden State is a league-worst 14-48 this year.

While Curry won't change the Warriors' lottery-bound fate, his return for the national TNT game certainly will boost fans' spirits in a tough campaign after a dynastic run.
