Draymond Green has added the latest chapter to his feud with NBA great Charles Barkley with a fiery tirade on Saturday.

Green and Barkley have traded barbs over the years with the former player turned media personality continually speaking out against Green’s game.

In the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers last week, Green was ejected midway through the second quarter and Barkley didn’t hesitate to get stuck in.

“He had his normal triple-single,” Barkley said on TNT. “He talks all that stuff when he’s got them other boys with him. Now he’s out there and gotta fight for himself and he just don’t wanna play.

“Give me a break. Y’all better quit tellin’ me you can play and who can’t play. I know who can play.”

After finishing practice, Green returned fire over Barkley’s comments and he did not hold back, not one bit.

“Barkley should stop (talking about me) before I go take his job, though,” Draymond told reporters.

“Because I can do that well, too. He needs that job so he should stop talking (about) me.

“I have a tendency to end people, so he should stop before I take his job. If he keeps talking, I’ll take it soon. Sooner than he thinks. So he probably should be quiet.

“He also can’t talk basketball with me. Not smart enough, not qualified, no rings — can’t sit at this table.”

Draymond Green on the recent TNT criticism: “(Charles) Barkley should stop before I take his job. Because I can do that well, too…He also can’t talk basketball with me either. Not smart enough, not qualified. No rings, can’t sit at this table.”

The comments from Green drew a swift response from the basketball world with the majority unable to comprehend Green’s argument.

“What a stupid comment. How many rings would Draymond have if he had to play MJ in the Finals — with Dan Majerle as his team’s second-leading scorer?” NBA analyst Tommy Beer wrote.

“No one in their right mind things Draymond is better than Barkley,” host of the Rich Eisen show Chris Brockman wrote.

I like Draymond Green. I like Charles Barkley. Both are being mad petty. Wish they respected each other's games a bit more. Wish the 30 & under crowd had more appreciation for good Chuck was. Was a force of nature. One of the 50 best. Rings aren't the only qualifier for greatness

In his prime, from age 22 thru 34, Barkley averaged more than 19 points, and more than 10 rebounds, and shot over 50% in every single season.

Draymond has never once in his career averaged more than 14.0 points, or more than 9.5 rebounds, or shot over 49% from the floor.

The two have a long history of going after one another and Green’s latest clip is sure to attract a response from Barkley.

Now we just wait for the return of serve.
