Snooker star Judd Trump makes ruthless comment after thrashing 12-year-old
Snooker star Judd Trump did not have any sympathy for his 12-year-old opponent following his success in the second round of the International Championship in China. The world No 3 cruised to an emphatic 6-0 victory over Wang Xinzhong on Sunday in a devastating display by the in-form Brit.
After winning the Wuhan, English and Northern Ireland Opens recently, Trump is hoping to become only the second-ever player to win four successive ranking titles. The 34-year-old has kicked off his charge with his 21 successive victory, putting Wang to the sword over the weekend.
Born in December 2010, the 12-year-old wildcard is one of the youngest players to compete in a ranking event, with his 6-5 win over Gong Chenzhi showing that he is capable of competing at this level despite his significant inexperience. However, Trump did not allow complacency to get the better of him when competing against Wang.
He mercilessly beat his young opponent 6-0, with breaks of 116, 109, 67 and 89 sealing the victory for the favourite. Speaking after his victory over Wang, Trump was ruthless in his analysis of how the match panned out.

“I didn’t feel bad for him, no,” said Trump. “I had a job to do and got on with my work.”
Trump’s brutal remark is a sign that he is not taking this competition lightly as he looks to write his name into the history books, and he will be hoping to continue his good form against world No. 65 Michael White in the third round on Monday, following his victory over Stuart Bingham on Sunday.

Only Stephen Hendry has won four ranking titles in a row, and the Scottish star has admitted that it is Trump’s fixation on winning that has led him to being as successful as he has. Following Trump’s victory over Chris Wakelin in the Northern Ireland Open, Hendry said: “Judd Trump is winning everything, Chris has been playing really well, but I think he had lost 11 out of 11 matches to Judd so that was the last person he wanted to meet in the final.
“That was not going to bode well for Chris. But Judd is just on the crest of a wave and is full of confidence. He’s got the most important aspect, certainly an individual sportsman, and that is greed. He is greedy for more tournaments. He’s winning one on a Sunday night then he’s waking up on a Monday thinking: ‘Where’s next to win?'”
